Water Nomads Newsletter

Plenty of people in New Zealand have been looking forward to this weekend: Daylight saving starts again, giving us another hour in the evening. More time to play on the water after work.

After a short but necessary stint in Auckland, we are now in the Coromandel.
It’s only a few hours drive from Auckland, but it’s a completely different world. The moment you leave the beaten track, it’s like jumping back in time: lots of gravel road, connecting beautiful beaches. Some of them with exceptional good surf, others are more exposed and offer themselves for winging and windsurfing.
Get out there and explore for yourself! So what’s happening with new equipment for rentals and our Surfari Trips? We are stoked to announce that we have now all the new PPC Soar boards available for rental, as well as some awesome PPC wings (Surge and Blend), depending on your style of riding.
We also have a good range of Axis foils and boards for you to choose from. Flick us an email and let’s get you started on an awesome vacation in New Zealand!

Our new Severne windsurfing equipment is due to arrive in November. It feels strange to get new gear already, as it’s been only a few months since we received our last drop of sails (the 2022 models were delayed due to various issues). Fingers crossed the 2023 equipment is on time, I’m super excited about it!With New Zealand’s borders open again for international travel without any restrictions, there is heaps of interest in our rental fleet. As we are still building up on equipment after 2 summers of closed borders, we highly recommend to book in early if you don’t want to miss out.

We see similar interest for our Surfari Trips as we see for our rental fleet:
Our Taranaki Trip over Labour Weekend end of October is now booked out. If waves are your thing, there are still some spots on our Taranaki Wave Weekend Surfari 18 – 20th November 2022. Bookings for that one are closing on 15th of October. Don’t dither – grab your quiver! There is also plenty of interest in our new Canterbury Lakes Discovery Trip in February 2023. For that one, we are stepping up our game: A full week, fully catered for, with transport for you and your gear included. We are really looking forward taking 10 lucky guests on an epic Surfari, exploring the Canterburys Lakes.

Last but not least, we decided to make life easier for our international guests and those who need to plan further ahead. We already added our Surfari Trips to Northland for winter 2023. Those trips were super popular, with a good mix of various disciplines (wing, windsurf, kite foil,…) all having fun together. Hit us up, we might give you an early bird discount if you ask nicely 😉

Feel free to contact us if you have any more questions.

Cheers

Heidi + Bevan
