The Surfboard Rental Centre is Water Nomads’ long-term surfboard hire service, from $15 NZD/day with a 7-day minimum. Pick up and drop off in any major town across New Zealand, with return or one-way travel options. No deposit is required at booking – just 50% payable on confirmation. Rentals suit intermediate riders and above, and can be paired with Session Intel for local spot and weather guidance along your route.

All our boards are supplied with a leash, fins or foils, and a board bag – so you’re good to go!
Water Nomads recommend booking at least a month in advance to ensure we can meet your specific needs. Please note that one-way surfboard rentals, rentals outside of Auckland, and short-notice requests may incur an additional fee.

Sorry but New Zealand does not have specific surf resorts like other parts of the world. It’s why New Zealand is the adventure capital of the world, part of the fun is exploring, and that’s where Water Nomads can help.
There are a few beach accommodation providers that offer surfboards to guests. In most instances these will be soft-boards.
