Pick up and drop off in any major town across New Zealand, with return or one-way travel options. Rentals suit intermediate riders and above, with gear built for everything from flat-water blasting to coastal swell, and can be paired with Session Intel for local spot and weather guidance along your route.

All Water Nomads windsurf boards come with fins and a board bag. Our sails are supplied complete with a high-quality carbon mast (at least 75% carbon), boom, extension, and mast foot – so you are good to go.
Water Nomads recommend booking at least a month in advance to ensure we can meet your specific needs. Please note that one-way rentals, rentals outside of Auckland, and short-notice requests may incur an additional fee.

Travelling with gear is challenging, but sometimes there is equipment you cannot do without, here you can pick the balance of gear to rent. Choose to rent:

I came to New Zealand from Chile for a 2-month windsurf trip, and Water Nomads really helped me so much planning the journey and offering me high quality equipment! The were always available to answer my questions with kindness... even questions not direcrly related to windsurf, such as where to sleep or where to buy a car. Also, the prices for gear rental are very convenient and in extraordinary quality. I REALLY recommend Water Nomads for a windsurfing trip in order to use great equipment and also to avoid the airport pains because of carrying your own stuff.

Windsurf Rental New Zealand
Sorry no, Water Nomads currently do not offer windsurfing lessons. However there are a few of Windsurf schools in the main centres throughout New Zealand where you can begin you Windsurfing journey.
Once you are on you way, you can then rent from us.
Sorry no, if you are just beginning and learning to windsurf you are best to continue with a few more lessons and water time on beginner gear.
Water Nomads gear is suitable from “advanced beginner” to “expert/pro” where you are comfortable in harness and footsteps and now learning to gybe and beyond.

Water Nomads Windsurf Rental Centre does not operate out of a physical shop. This means we are not tied to a specific location. We simply work with your travel plans to offer the best place to pick-up and drop-off the gear at nearly any major centre in New Zealand.
