In Coopers Beach and offers plenty of room for everyone to hang out.  With stunning 180° views over Doubtless Bay you can relax and ponder the coming days. You will enjoy the large living spaces, spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms.

It starts with a continental breakfast, locally baked breads and fresh coffee brewed (or tea!).

We respect your independence throughout the sufari so you are provided with a hearty lunch individually packed each day.

We provide you with spot location, weather condition advice, and we maintain contact with you even if you choose an alternate location to explore. We do not treat you like a school group nor guide your every movement. We ensure you are at the right place at the right time. It is however ultimately your judgement on your ability to sail in the presented conditions.

Where can you sail

The Karikari Pensinsula offers a variety of great spots for freeriding, foiling, speed runs, winging and wavesailing in many different conditions. No matter which direction the wind blows.

Well known for its beautiful foiling and freeride conditions with its unbelievable clear water. There is an awesome speed-run if the tide and wind direction are right and you want to test you and your gear!

A long, curved, sandy beach that can get nice waves in Easterlies. It’s very forgiving and perfect for your first steps wavesailing. The top end is usually fairly sheltered from wind and waves, whereas the southern end can get pretty big and wild. You can choose!

Offers excellent foiling and freeride conditions, it can also produce beautiful rolling swells. Its also literally at the bottom of road from your accommodation!

Water Nomads | Doubtless Bay Wind History
Signed on for the Water Nomads Northland Safari as a solo traveller and so glad I did rather than going North alone! Great fun arriving at the beach to find a bunch of other keen wingers to share in the stoke!! Heidi and Bevan’s local knowledge made the most of the conditions by putting us in the right place at the right time and their easy going nature made the whole experience really enjoyable. Food and accomodation are spot on with the freedom to take a packed lunch and venture where ever you like a high lite. Highly recommend WaterNomads and look forward to joining them on the Southern Lakes Tour. Cheers Joel. PS-great photos to!!

Just returned from my 3rd winter trip with Water Nomads to the far north of New Zealand. Can highly recommend for anyone into wind sports looking for a well organised trip with other like minded people. The comfortable Coopers Beach accommodation is situated on a ridge line with a 180 deg panoramic view over Doubtless Bay. All quality meals are supplied by an independent caterer and are included in the cost. The Water Nomads van is stocked with a variety of equipment that can be hired if required. Heidi and Bevan are excellent hosts and have a good knowledge of the area and local conditions.

Tom and I had a very enjoyable long weekend at doubtless Bay with Water Nomads. Heidi & Bevan have a great understanding of the local area and which locations are best to go to depending on win directions conditions. Bevan takes excellent photos which you can purchase at a very reasonable price if you wish. The accommodation was good and the food was excellent and there was more than enough. Also it’s a nice small intimate group and it’s always great meeting new people and sharing our foiling experiences. Thanks Heidi & Bevan. Flip
